予選エントリーの基準日が8/1なのは間違いないですが、ちょっと補足していいでしょうか？
ATPツアーとGSでは主催団体が違うので、ツアーに関するルールが微妙にちょっと違います。
GSルールブックのエントリーの項目を引用すると↓になります。
The closing date for entries and withdrawals for the singles Main Draw in each GS is 42 days prior to the 1st Monday of the tournament except that a player on the Alternate list for the singles Main Draw may withdraw at any time prior to such time as he is moved into the DA on account of withdrawals of other players. The closing date for entries and withdrawals for the Singles Qualifying tournaments is 28 days prior to the 1st Monday of the tournament.
まっ、簡単に言うと大会の本戦は６週間前、予選は（本戦開始の）４週間前って事です。
ちなみに、ATPツアーの方は同じ項目に、（モンテを除いて）本戦は６週間前、予選は３週間前って書いてあります。
